The Norwegian Directorate of Elections' case documents are public in so far as exemptions provided for in Acts or pursuant to Acts do not apply. Everyone has the right to study the public contents of case documents in a specific case, ref. the Freedom of Information Act and the Public Administration Act.
According to section 3 of the Freedom of Information Act, exemptions must be authorised by or pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act.
